School News

Hello Woodland Families!

We hope that you all have had the opportunity to get back into some sort of “new” normal this week now that all the class placement shuffling has ended. We are so thankful for your flexibility and support of the staff, as well as your student/s during these changing times.

CONFERENCES

We are looking forward to the opportunity to connect with each of you during our Virtual Conferences. Conferences will be on October 21st-23rd.Duringconferences,the instructional day for students will be from 8:30-11:20. All live instruction will be adjusted to occur during these hours with conferences in the afternoon.Your child’s teacher should be reaching out to you to begin scheduling for these meetings. During your conference time, you can expect teachers to share about your student’s progress, answer any questions, provide support, and review learning expectations for the year.

HYBRID SCHEDULE A or SCHEDULE B

This next week you can expect a communication from the school indicating your families Hybrid Schedule when we return back to the building. Your student/s wil be placed in either Schedule A (Tu/Th) or Schedule B (Wed/Fri). Even though we are pausing on moving forward with our Hybrid Model at this time, when that does change, we want families to be ready to go without hesitation and begin making plans that work best for their schedules.

REOPENING VIRTUAL TOWN HALL

Puyallup School District Families are invited to a School Reopening Virtual Town Hall, where Puyallup’s phases for how schools will reopen based on public health guidance will be explained. As public health conditions continue to evolve, this phasing approach should help families plan as we may shift from one phase to another throughout the year. This Town Hall will be on October 14th at 6:00 p.m.
The Zoom link and password will be available via the District website the date of the event.
