Library

Welcome to Woodland Elementary's Library page. For the 2019-20 school year, Mrs. Skirm is the librarian Monday and Wednesday and Mrs. Holway is there Thursday and Friday. The library is completely closed on Tuesdays. Woodland's library has a collection of more than 12,000 books for K-6th grade students. All students will visit the library once a week with their classmates, and we have two Open Library periods per week for children to exchange books. Grades 2-6 may have two books checked out at one time. Kindergarten students start checking out one book in January, and 1st grade may checkout 2 if they show responsibility starting in January as well.

Grades 4, 5, & 6 will have an award book challenge that will start in the fall and end in April. The challenge is to read a minimum of five books from the Sasquatch and/or Young Readers Choice lists and pass the AR quizzes with 80% or better accuracy.

Please visit the Woodland Destiny library catalog (link to the left of this message) for other useful links as well as research tools. You can also see your child's library account (books out, outstanding fines, etc.) there by logging in with your child's AR login.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at holwaysl@puyallup.k12.wa.us. Stay safe and keep reading!
