Happy Summer Woodland Families!

This year has been one for the record books!  As I look back and reflect, I realize that we made it through a school year that has never been done before and we did it together.  Thank you is not enough for the gratitude I have for all our Woodland Families.  You had to step up and create learning spaces in your homes.  You had to become co-teachers and motivators during on-line learning.  Many of you suffered financial hardship while still placing your students’ education a priority.   

You showed patience with us as we brought back students and worked through many changes in systems and procedures the biggest of which was that we couldn’t allow you inside our building even though we longed to have you come volunteer and support!!

I would also be remiss if I didn’t thank you for stepping up during this difficult time to help our school financially by supporting our APEX fun run.  We earned $18,173 which was more than we earned in 2019 with even more students participating and no pandemic!!!  This will help us bring back some of our fun opportunities for students and families next year.

Here is to all of you!!  I wish you the best of summers and look forward to a new year that is moving toward normal.
